Ambulance Transportation

Medic 1 Ambulance provides transport between Berrien County Area Medical Center’s and other health care facilities as ordered by a physician when ambulance transport is required for patient care needs.

Inter-facility transfers utilize ambulances to move a patient from one facility to another, be it a hospital, long-term care facility, or a residence. These are typically routine in nature, using an ambulance because the patient is still in need of medical care, but needs to be moved to a more appropriate facility.

  • Local Emergency Rooms Visits and Discharges
  • Dialysis Appointments
  • Radiation Appointments
  • Hospital Discharges
  • Nursing Homes
  • Rehabilitation Hospitals

Inter-facility transfers can be scheduled in advance or on emergent basis.
